Tournament of Champions

 I'm very late posting, but Bodhi and I went down to St. Louis to the Purina Event Center for the U-Fli Flyball, Tournament of Champions last month. We ran with Rocket Relay Green team. Our team placed 2nd on the Saturday and 1st on the Sunday. I couldn't be prouder of him. He ran solid the whole weekend and managed the crazy environment of a huge multi ring tournament. So much fun!

Blast Off

 You know it's been a great flyball weekend when you're hoarse, have wounds and sore feet but one happy, tired dog.

We had long busy days running the tournament as well as our dogs but I had so much fun. This weekend was the 25th anniversary of Rocket Relay's blast off.
Once again super proud of my little Bodhi. He was confident and ran well all weekend with our blue team that placed 2nd in our division. Our times got even better on day two.

Escanaba Trip

 

Home from a fantastic 4 days away with my flyball team to Escanaba MI for Ufli-Flyball. 1,900 kms round trip. Beach stops along the way (wow northern Lake Michigan is stunning) and 2 days of racing. Bodhi's first long trip since he journeyed to Canada at 8 weeks. His first time in a hotel and first time in such a large tournament with 2 rings running.

We had so much fun and he raced with the Rocket Relay Green team. Saturday was a little rocky but we pulled it together on Sunday.

Thank you to everyone on Rocket Relay for a great time and all the support in bringing out the best in Bodhi.

Hot Summer Days

 On those hot summer days the dogs enjoy the pool or even paddle boarding and swimming!

Canada Day Agility Trial

 So very proud of Bodhi today.

Second trial, first outdoors, first time with snooker and gamblers. Jumpers he had a 1st place, 5 faults for a bar down. Snooker he had a 1st place, 49 points the only Q of the class. Gamblers he was 2nd place with 72 points and a Q. Well under our time allowed as well for all classes. 
He was so focused and well behaved as well. Such fun this dog is! Looking forward to the future with this young boy

Growing up

 

Solo hike with Bodhi today. Lots of time to ponder on just how much I enjoy this dog. He's now 2 1/2 years old, through adolescence and the pandemic and has grown into EVERYTHING I had hoped for.

Flyball is going great, agility is coming together and just such an easy dog to live with and teach with. Everything I've thrown at him this year he has taken in stride and with confidence.

All the work is paying off, but also he is an example of the care and dedication that his breeders put into breeding such solid dogs genetically. Thank you Aaron and Sharon!

Flyball Weekend

 

This past Family Day weekend I had a very exciting weekend running my first flyball tournament with my new team, Rocket Relay. Bodhi ran pairs with his sister Shenzi. They were such good dogs! I'm looking forward to the next one!

Keeping Busy

 

It was a busy few months for the dogs, with daily hiking, agility and flyball. Provincial shut down right now and we are just getting out for hikes, sports will return soon for Bodhi. Bodhi and I ran our first agility trail back at the end of November and he has run preflight at 2 flyball tournaments. He is looking to run singles in February if things open up again!
